Rev. Otis R. Spellman and his wife, Janice are residents of Fluvanna County.  Together they have 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

 

Rev. Spellman has been a Pastor for 40 years; having served Galilee Baptist Church Louisa for 30 years and former Pastor of Forest Baptist Church, Meherrin, VA for 6 years, and currently Pastor of Union Baptist Church.

 

The Lord has afforded and entrusted Pastor Spellman with many awesome affiliations and tasks.

*  Administrator

*  Past 1st Vice Moderator and Moderator of the James River District Baptist Association

*  Served as Chaplain at University of Virginia under their Intern Program

*  Served as a member of University of Virginia’s Health System Chaplaincy Professional Advisory Group

*  Missionary to London England 1990

*  Missionary to Kenya, Africa; teaching and preaching in 2006 and 2009

*  Formerly a Missionary at Large and Chaplain at Advancing Native Missions; a multimillion-dollar foreign missions organization that serves 80 countries

 

Rev. Spellman’s heart’s desire is to continue in the work which God has called and ordained him to do; and that is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ; compelling people to give their lives to Christ and become workers in His vineyard; lifting Him up that He may draw all men unto Him.
